TrainSmartly Labs Inc., a corporation organized under the laws of Ontario, Canada ("TrainSmartly," "we," "us," or "our"), builds tools that help you plan workouts, log meals, and track progress. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit our websites, join the waitlist, or use our mobile and web applications (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing the Services, you agree to this Policy and our Terms of Use.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
a. Information you provide
- Account and profile details such as name, email address, password, demographic info, waitlist responses, and preferences.
- Content you submit, including workouts, exercises, nutrition logs, progress photos, notes, goals, ratings, messages, and feedback.
- Support requests, survey responses, contest entries, or other communications with our team.
b. Information collected automatically
- Device and technical data (IP address, device identifiers, operating system, browser type, language, mobile carrier).
- Usage analytics such as pages viewed, features used, time spent, referrer URLs, app interactions, and crash diagnostics.
- Cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies to remember preferences and understand engagement.
c. Information from integrations and partners
- App store subscription status, wearable or health device data, single sign-on details, or other information you permit us to receive through connected services.
- Publicly available sources or marketing partners that help us maintain accurate records or reach interested users.

We may create aggregated or de-identified data from personal information. This data is not reasonably capable of identifying you and may be used for product insights or shared for business purposes without further notice.

Where required, including under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), we process personal information based on: (i) performance of a contract (providing the Services you request), (ii) legitimate interests (analytics, product improvement, marketing to existing users, protecting security), (iii) compliance with legal obligations, and (iv) consent (for example, when you opt into marketing communications or connect third-party integrations). You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, and we will inform you of any consequences of doing so.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it as follows:
- Service providers. Carefully selected vendors that host infrastructure, provide analytics, email delivery, customer support, payment processing, fraud prevention, or other operational support under contractual safeguards.

5. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When information is no longer needed, we will delete or anonymize it. You may request deletion sooner using the contact details below; we will honor those requests consistent with applicable law.
6. Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, encryption in transit, secure development practices, and employee training. No system is 100% secure. Please use a strong password, keep your credentials confidential, and let us know immediately at info@trainsmartly.ca if you suspect unauthorized access.
7. International Transfers
We may process and store information in Canada, the United States, and other countries where we or our service providers operate.
